President Donald TRUMP unveiled sweeping new tariffs on EU goods alongside a $750 billion energy purchase commitment from European nations. The measures follow a July agreement with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, temporarily suspending retaliatory EU tariffs set to take effect this week.

The 15% tariff on European automobiles and industrial goods comes with a WHITE House demand for reciprocal EU concessions. Brussels confirmed a six-month pause on countermeasures, framing the détente as providing "stability and predictability" for transatlantic commerce.
